Anyone have ideas on how to encourage/challenge students in the spiritual disiplines? Maybe even incorporate some of them into Sunday morning teaching times? I've been looking at Doug Fields' "One Minute Bible" but haven't decided if I like it or not. Any of you use this resource in your ministry?
The One Minute Bible has worked well for us in the context of small groups. We have students read each day throughout out the week and then when we meet we discuss their thoughts, questions, etc. It's a great way to get students engaged in the discipline of Bible reading and time alone with God.
Brian,
Thanks for your input. One of the challenges I've had over the years is helping students develop a passion for God's word. I appreciate the ideas.
