I am doing four weeks on Social Justice with my youth group. At the conclusion of this study we will be going down to Washington D.C. to join with other believers in an effort to bring attention to and end the suffering in Darfur (you can read about it here and here).

I am curious if any of you have prepared lessons on this topic, or used any curriculum that you would be willing to share? The depth of this topic has me a little confused as to the best place to start and end. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I'm doing something similar this summer with my students. We are using a combination of material -- some original, some from the 1 Life Revolution that Youth Specialties and World Vision put together. I began by casting a vision for global/local thinking based on Isaiah 58/Matt. 25. The next lesson then was basically on the "power of 1." When considering global issues it's easy to think that "I can't make a difference."

I don't know how useful that will be to you, but it's something I'm currently working on. I'd love to know if you come across anything you like as well.

The Justice Mission curriculum we published is on this topic, and is the YS product i am most proud of.
